I set out to understand people.

Precious Edewor
Psychology-trained, former behaviour therapist, and founder of My Style Therapist.
My background is in psychology, with years across behaviour therapy and corporate — and observing the patterns, and beliefs that shape how us women experience ourselves and the world.
What I kept noticing in conversations with women around me was a particular kind of subtle 'suffering'. Women who were accomplished, self-aware, doing all the things they felt they were supposed to do. And yet something in how they moved through the world felt disconnected. Like the person on the inside and the person in the mirror were different.
I also noticed something else. The few times these women did something more authentically their own — the way they dressed, the way they showed up — it was rarely positively reinforced. The world had told them, in a hundred small ways, to pick a lane. And most of them had chosen the lane that kept others comfortable, at the expense of themselves.
I built My Style Therapist because I had both the psychological training to understand the problem and the styling experience to do something practical about it. Before we ever talk about clothes, we talk about who you actually want to be. Then we build a wardrobe that reflects her.
Women come to me a bit lost, sometimes undecided. I support them with clarity and finally feeling like authentic to themselves.
